Lots (also called Arabic parts) have been used in western astrology since the Greek and Egyptian periods. During the middle ages, Persian and Arabic astrologers particularly refined this practice. Understanding of lots provide astrologers with the useful tools for prediction as well as esoteric and spiritual meaning and guidance. In this talk, we will discuss both practical and esoteric uses of the Lots. We will go over some of the most commonly used parts: Lots of Fortune, Spirit, Death, and Marriage, and a few others. Students can expect to understand the meaning and uses of Arabic parts that can be immediately applied to their practice.
